Melbourne Model Expo 2009

Introduction

The 26th Annual Australian Open Plastic Scale Model Championships, or simply Model Expo 2009, was held over the Queen's Birthday Weekend of 6-8 June 2009 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. For Victorians this 3 day modelling spectacular is seen as the event of the modelling calendar.

Over the following pages you will find a small photo report of the show. I do apologise for the injustice I have done modellers in merely grouping all entries per genre as opposed to the many competition categories.

Glad you enjoyed the photos, folks. A special mention should go to my "assistant" who made it through the whole 3.5 hr photo shoot without moaning about being bored.

Thanks for sharing the photos Rudi. I love being able to see the models and the show, without actually being there. Your time and effort is appreciated.

You're welcome, Frank. Hopefully I'll manage to enter something into next year's contest myself - I've started working toward it, but famous last words none the less
