Hobby Lobby in Waukesha.
My wife heard that a Hobby Lobby is opening in Waukesha. From what I've seen online it's more of a craft store with a few hobby kit's right or am I wrong, never been to one.
Must go Wings Over Waukesha is going on ( I live near the airport ) and war birds are flying over head.

i know this is an old response, but hobby lobby wouldnt be my first choice for model kits. the kits they offer are on the cheaper side, but still overpriced (older kits). they do offer other good things though. the one here in green bay has started stocking velejo acrylics, decent amounts of other modeling paints, and other glue/tools/supplies that are useful. they also have a small selection of airbrushes and parts. they also have very large selections of paint brushes that are great for kit building.
One big thing to watch for with hobby lobby is their clearance kits. their clearance kits are usually pretty well priced. the one here had the large lhd wasp naval ship that was priced down to 80$. someone bought it before i did, but it is a huge deal for that kit.

It worked. As you can tell by the deleted post's I was have some trouble . Photo Bucket, what work's to get links on one web sight does not work on another and the fact that I don't post pics that often doesn't help.

Again Happy New Year to all and stay warm.

Wow it certainly has been a rough winter nothing posted since New Years eve. Every one must of went into hibernation mode like I did. Didn't feel like doing any modeling, just visited the modeling forums didn't feel like posting any thing. Well that's all behind us.
I see it's been over a year that Panther Hobby has been open. I payed a visit to them yesterday.Spent about 50 dollars and about 50 minute's talking with the owner, very nice guy. Nice to have a hobby shop in the Milwaukee area again that is more for the military modeler.
I left Panther Hobby with Bronco's Jeep with 37 mm A/T gun. My first Bronco kit and not my last. I'm still getting over the shock of the 32 page instruction booklet.

I agree. That was a rough one. Everyone was itching to finally get outside for summer. Well, now that I've been out there-- back to the workbench! Ha ha.
Cheers!

I agree ! It's been over 20 years since we have had a Winter like this one and I hope it's another 20 before the next one ! Honestly, I think that we've been spoiled for quite a few years. Anyway, I've been spending time outdoors hiking out in Kettle Moraine. Even got a few wood ticks on me. Also went to the Panther HS for Marko's Memorial Day weekend sale and spent way too much but picked up some true gems that will keep me busy when the next Artic Vortex roars thru.
Have a good Summer everybody !

Does Panther HS have much in the way of resin/PE detail sets? I've got shelves of unbuilt kits so I haven't been buying many (maybe 1 in 2013?) but I could use bits and pieces to detail the ones I have. I'm still over my head in miniatures and terrain for wargames but slowly, slowly I'm looking at the plastic also. Just hit Greenfield to get supplies to start casting terrain bits. Speaking of winter, 2013 I figured out I needed something to block my spraybooth opening (one of the Testors ones). It was always super cold in the room, I could feel the air just flowing up through the filters! A 2" piece of foam and sealed edges helped fix that.

No more Arctic vortex's for me. I hope it's 30 or 40 years before there's another one I won't be around for it.
Sriker Panther HS has some resin and PH set's for vehicle's and aircraft. If you can pay him a visit I'm sure you will find it worth your time.
He's located in Oak Creek at 8041 S 13th st .

Welcome to Armorama Robert. Dave in Waukesha.
Little behind on my Armorama reading with summer finally getting here.
My modeling addiction is WW2 soft skins vehicles. I like 1/24 scale but will build 1/35 scale for lack of subject matter which I think will change with in the next year or two.

Could not believe the head line Greenfield News closing shop.
What a blow the scale model hobby in the Milwaukee area.
