This is an old shelf queen of mine that was sidelined early in construction for many years until I recently pulled it out again and started over from about the 10% mark.

This is the old Heller S35 kit originally released in 1977. I replaced the turret machine gun barrel with some Albion tubing, added cast armor texture with Mr Surfacer 1000, and a tow chain on the rear tow hook and shackles. Paints are Humbrol enamels.

The Boche are that way!

Very nicely done, indeed!! The muted colors on your paint job look great. And the figures are a fine compliment. "The Boche are that way," would make a perfect nameplate on a dio base.

Thank you gentlemen.

Michel, Heller kits certainly have their challenges. This one did.

Jack, this is supposed be a shelf sitter to add on to my French AFV collection, but now that you mention a diorama with this tank, these figures, and that title... the wheels are turning...

I have this model. So it can be made into a winner! Your model inspires me.

Who are the figures by?

Thanks Frederick. Aside from what I did, and in a more logical order (rescribe certain areas before adding parts), replacement tracks would help. I don’t know about it being a winner, but it will look good enough.

The figures are from the Tamiya Renault UE Carrier. So now I have two French AFVs...

Looks great, you've got to love those wacky French camouflage schemes from ww2.

Thank you David. I agree about the French camo schemes, they are certainly more attractive than overall Olive Drab, Panzer Gray, or 4B0 Green.
