Try going to Revell's (EU) site directly, Ezra. They have a pretty good spares replacement service and may be able to send you the piece that's missing
Stay home and build models!

That's really unusual, Ezra... It seems the Corona virus has had more effect on our lives again...
Maybe you can move on to something else until the situation is resolved???

What I may do for the missing platform is bye a whole new 4" gun from shapeways. I've just started drilling the flood vents so look out for that next!

Don't ever be afraid to ask - it's what we're all here for! (Now, getting answer - that's something else!

)
Also, did Revell give a reason as to why they won't ship such a small part to the USA? Unless it's because it's a small part, and the postage would've cost more than the part?

Yes they said they cant ship it because of COVID-19. I will probably end up buying the gun off shapeways.

Beautiful work Ezra! What did you use to attach the PE in the weapons and the conning tower? Looks very clean and tidy.

Ezra,
Looks great so far! You have some skills...
BTW, I took a bunch of USS Cobia reference photos a number of years ago, so if you are interested please contact me via IM and we can arrange something--no charge, I freely pass on my reference photos to fellow modelers that are interested.

All i used was regular Loctite Atack super glue with a homemade applicator. (A toothpick with some wire wrapped around it making a loop that i can dip into the glue.)

Ok here we go. I still need to rivet it and clean up the flood vents, but its nearly ready for paint!

testing the wood deck.

Flood holes.

These still need some cleanup.

Im just putting this out there, would anyone be interested in me doing a build log of the Revell 1/72 S-100 with the Griffon PE set? And around christmas time maybe the Revell platinum edition 1/72 Flower class corvette or the Revell 1/72 platinum edition U-boat or the Lindberg I-53? Tell me what ones you would be interested in seeing. Just an idea but if enough people are interested ill do it.

I'd be interested to see the S-boat and the corvette. I built the latter in 1:72 a while ago (not the platinum edition); you can find it on this forum somewhere!
Wouldn't mind seeing the U-boat as well to be honest
