What kind of camera did you get?
You can optimize image files by choosing this option in the camera for images for the web etc.
You can also optimize full size large images on your digital media device for the interwebs.
What type of computer do you use to download images and log in to Kitmaker net?
There are image hosting sites for free and for a fee.
Kitmaker Net has a gallery space for members but it's limited in space.

Try this first then after that, I'll explain posting your photos to a thread here.

Congrats on the new camera!! I hope it's a nice one, but at the same time, not too complicated!

For me, posting pictures to my postings is fairly simple:

a) take the picture
b) download the picture to my PC
c) upload the picture to the free website I use for "3rd party hosting"
d) copy and paste the picture to my post

Naturally, there are some detailed steps included in the above, but hopefully, you get the gist of the process.

If you have any questions, please ask, and I'm sure someone can answer them!

I use www.cubeupload.com for hosting my pictures. It's free, but they do ask for donations.

I did the https://imgbb.com/, and seams to work, but I did the kit maker up load 3 times, and it still says no pictures on file. It is a jpg file. Any help will be appreciated as I am getting ready for a campaign in AA in Feb.

If you have your pictures available somewhere on the internet then you are ready to roll.
Make a new post or reply in an existing thread.
Below the editing box there is a row of buttons, the one to the right end is img (in [ and ] brackets).
Hit that button and insert the image-link you have copied from your photo-storage. Some (Most? All?) have a feature to make links for adding to Facebook, Instagram, You-Name-It and BB-forums.
The image link shall replace the text between the img and /img brackets.
Submit posting, check result, edit post until you get the correct image link in there.
Do not add spaces between the two bracket pairs, the image link needs to fill out the whole space.
The leading bracket, the one with 'img' needs to be a few spaces in from the edge of the editing window, it goes to a proper position when you hit the button so don't lose any of the spaces when doing other editing.

Well, lets see if it works. https://ibb.co/LJwkHwT

Is this what is supposed to happen?

" (img) http://put.url.here/image.file (/img) https://ibb.co/LJwkHwT "

The start and stop brackets are there, I replaced the square brackets with crescents to make them visible, but the image link is partially outside the brackets and the instructions are still there (...put.url.here....)

By inserting the real image address:
https://i.ibb.co/cC5gV5W/IMG-0139.jpg
between the brackets and removing all of:
http://put.url.here/image.file
I managed to get the picture above.
This link: https://ibb.co/LJwkHwT works in a web-browser because the image storage service converts it to something ending with .jpg.
If you right-click with the pointer on the image you get a menu with options, one of these lets you copy the image address.
That is how I got hold of https://i.ibb.co/cC5gV5W/IMG-0139.jpg

It looks as if the track is about to get thrown, the rearmost roadwheel is riding up on the center guides ....

If you hit 'Reply & Quote' below you get a copy of my post so that you can see all the details

I can find the correct location as you can see, but either Armorama or ibb will not allow it to post.

ok.
In some of your last posts there are links ending with ".jpg"
Those are the usable ones
But if they are inserted in the post like this:
or like this:
https://i.ibb.co/cC5gV5W/IMG-0139.jpg
it will not work.

It should look like this:

You get this "template by clicking on this little button

After that you replace "http://put.url.here/image.file"
with https://i.ibb.co/jZJ2DMb/IMG-0143.jpg and then repeat
for the other images (click button and replace the stuff
between the img and /img brackets.
It should end up looking like this:

and like this

Note that the white space to the left of the first bracket is important.

It looks like this when I am editing this post:

I use imgur to store images and when I click on the image above in my imgur album it looks like this:

and I simply copy&paste the BB-code link.
What you really need is to get the link ending with .jpg (I think some other image formats will work as well)
The IMPORTANT part is to get those img & /img brackets in the
correct position.

Where do I place this location in the img template?

I have tried this every way I know how following your instructions. Why is the process so much of a pain to post a picture? I have win 10 pro, and have been editing pictures and posting them for the last18 years, and this is the first time I have seen this.
Thank you for your help and patients.
Also where is the log out button?

When you click on the img button you get this:
(img)http://put.url.here/image.file(/img)
but the ( and ) are square brackets instead.
The next step is to remove http://put.url.here/image.file
so that you get
(img) (/img) with square brackets instead of ( and )
then you insert your link, the one ending with .jpg
between the (img) (/img)
so that it looks like this
(img)https://i.ibb.co/jZJ2DMb/IMG-0143.jpg(/img)
and make sure that there is a least one blank space at the beginning of the line.

A functioning image insertion link/command looks like this

Click Reply & Quote below to get an editing window where you can see exctly what this post looks like.
The format used when the image links end with ".png" also work
