excuse me, does it feel like IQ's in that region of the world have slipped beyond the moron point, or, why are they wanting to fight? family squabbles sometimes get nasty, don't they? #:-)

I feel for the poor souls that will take the brunt of the attacks. I don't believe that either nation posesses the technology to use nukes tactically. In other words, the troops in the field will be relatively safe (unless amassed for an attack and subsequently targeted). Their nuclear delivery abilities are basically a step above the Iraqi SCUD attacks on Saudi Arabia and Isreal. "Let's toss a missile towards the major population centers and see what happens."


Rob--exactly. As some many of our fellow participants stated "no one can quite figure out" why they are even contemplating a war. I further agree with your assessment that the miltary (tactical or startegic) value of nuclear weapons is negligible. You may attain local surprise, but by and large, they are not wroth the effort of employment. Terrible diversion of energy and potential tragedy of world wide dimensions. For what?
