jba shares another emotional piece of art that he build some time ago. It may be a bit old, but it is still first class.

Enjoy - I know I did

Another incredible piece of his trademark work. Stunning, with meticioulus attention to detail..
I will freely admit that I scratch my head at the story/meaning behind it, but I do appreciate the pure skill that has gone into this. And the mind that can create such a piece..

thanks for sharing it..

Jean my friend, brilliant work. I haven't seen this before and I must admit I'm with Henk on the storyline.
But I'm also with him on the excellent craftsmanship !!!!!!!
The waterwork is great and the pillar and columns are too cool.
I've got to much to say and not enough words for the build, l.o.l., Brilliant !!!!

Thanks a million friends or all your comments!
Henk, in fact at the time (I must have build that one in '96) I used my "visions" straight away, without trying to tie them with anything. Now i still have those same ideas, but I try to bind them more or less with real history or to get a more realistic feeling about the whole -Glenn you remember those fantastic pictures you sent me at MSW? the ones with a complete Italian flotilla sunken in a harbour so that only the masts are going out of the water? well, if I had to do this same vision again, i would have use such a setting: eerie but in a way *accurate*.
As for the pillars, they were built out of miliput and then moulded using silicon.
oh -and extra thanks for "Dali"

Visually stunning. Technically superb. Mentally haunting for unknown reason.

The one thing I have always liked about JB's work, is he has developed his own distinctive style. Something I believe all good modelers need to do.

Surrealism in 3-D!
JBA is to dioramas what Dali was to paintings (It's kinda like knowing Dali the before rest of the world caught on)
JBA, you never cease to amaze me my friend....and to think ..this masterpiece was conceived in 1996!
Kudos,
Charles

Thanks once more friends
Rick there is quite a lot of my work spanning maybe 15 years of "work" lying around here at Kitmaker
Charles for Dali I wish I die on a bed full of banknotes -Dali way, but i doubt that yeah '96, i didn't progressed much since then after all..
Dave, I certainly wish the ones who know my dioramas to say "yeah, he's got style", that would make me happy
