Introduction
Steel Bridge is a laser-cut, multi-media kit from NOCH. This model is N scale, item 62810. The bridge is also available in TT and HO. NOCH also makes the bridge with a longer span.

NOCH makes several laser-cut bridges including these:
    Truss Approach Bridge
    Bridge Deck, straight
    Bridge Deck, curved (two radii)
    Fishbelly Bridge
NOCH offers bridges in three media:
Laser-Cut Bridges
Ready-made bridges consisting of structured hardfoam
Kits of classic steel bridges made of plastic

I include a video by NOCH about the assembly of this bridge for your benefit.

NOCH Laser-Cut Models
NOCH explains
Laser-cut models are made from special, high quality, stable, DIN certified and age resistant NOCH laser cardboard.

The Kit
NOCH engineered this box truss bridge kit with hard foam and cardboard parts. Two colors of cardboard are used.

The cardboard pieces are precisely cut with a laser. The cardboard has a slightly gritty feeling and are without scorched edges, leading me to think the parts were colored after the laser cutting.

Eight sheets of parts are provided. Six are structural members of beams, girders, and cross-sections, the seventh is a sheet of gusset plates, and the eighth sheet represents lumber decking. The laser cutting is crisp. The parts are held to the sheets with very fine attachments.

Two laser-sculpted hard foam abutments are included.

NOCH provides a large tube of Uhu glue for assembly. I find this glue to be excellent.

Detail
Rivet and other surface detail is sculpted into the cardboard by laser. Separate gussets are provided.

Instructions and Painting
NOCH provides and excellent instruction sheet. It is printed in Dutch, English, French, German, and Spanish. It is illustrated with exploded-view black-and-white line art.

With pre-colored parts, no painting is necessary.

Conclusion
I have built several NOCH laser-cut kits and I am impressed with them. This N scale bridge is created with precisely cut parts and should be easy to assemble. It is well detailed. The glue NOCH provides, in my experience, is excellent.

Modelers need not paint the parts as they are pre-colored. Assembly should be smooth due to the excellent instructions.

I look forward to building this model and installing it on my layout. RECOMMENDED.
