ACCIÓN PRESS have announced two new titles, one for the armor modeller and the other for the figure builder...

These two titles continue an interesting process begun by Acción some time ago. Apart from their normal publications (particularly in the case of Panzer Aces) they have also published a series of monographical works dealing with items as diverse as Wild West Modelling, Medieval Figures (by Mike Blank) of less 'esoteric' interest are their books on painting techniques. A new volume in this series (which I will be adding to my own bookshelves as soon as possible), is Number 13 in the series:

Modelado y Lenguaje Corporal (Modelling and body animation)

The 65 page, A4 - size book, fully illustrated in color throughout, deals not with painting, but the modelling and posing of figures in seven diverse chapters. These Chapter headings are as follows:

Materials and Tools.

The form of the body: Expressions and character.

Chainmail, wrinkles and highlights

Modelling a figure, from start to finish

Modelling and Converting a 90mm mounted figure

Vignettes and Dioramas: Figure composition.

The second new release, STUG III is an exhaustive study of the modelling of the STUG III. 65 pages, A4 format and color photos/illustrations throughout. The book covers several building projects which are as follows:

Each chapter follows the building of its respective version in a 'step-by-step' format.

At the present moment, I have no information on their availability outside of Spain, however Acción will doubtless have them available in English sooner rather than later. The price of the these two, very promising, books is €15 and €23 respectively.
