Operational Overview One of the most iconic fighters ever produced, the Spitfire was the backbone of fighter command during the second world war. It saw service in several roles such as fighter, fighter bomber, reconnaissance, carrier fighter, trainer and even as a racer after the war. After the war it served for many years with many air forces. Built in many variants and sub variants it evolved from a promising two bladed prop prototype into the ultimate Mk 24 with the RAF, and the Seafire Mk47 with it's distinctive contra rotating prop with the FAA. The campaign requires many variants of Spitfire and it is for you to select a variant of your choice and have it ready by June 30th 2011. I want as many variants of this aircraft as possible to suite the many roles and to cover any loses in this campaign.
