Panther Ausf A - Early

The Panther is the Dragon kit #6160 with Friulmodel tracks, Aber photoetch and barrel, Panzer Art antenna, and Eureka tow cables. It is finished to represent an early Panther Ausf A from Panzer Group Bäke during the winter of 43-44. Photographs show this unit had early Ausf A's without Zimmerit, including at least one with the MG gun ring removed from the commander's cupola and one with "borrowed" Zimmerit-covered side skirts.

The Panther was painted with Tamiya acrylics using the hairspray technique, and weathered with oils, enamels and a few pigments.

The figures are from Alpine and Mantis with replacement Hornet heads.

Is that actually a DRAWING of the D-style driver's visor in the armour? Neat!

The D and A both had a glacis vision port for the driver, so why would anyone draw it onto the plate? Unless I'm missing something 🤔

So impressive! I feel cold in every corner I see, the weathering on the tank is very amazing, and the mud looks so real, very inspiring.. Thanks for sharing your great job, mate

I believe he means that with the chipping all around the visor's edge plus how flush it sits, makes it look like it is drawn.
