Hi there,
I've been struggling with taking photos, and after toying with buying a new camera, lights and a light box, or building my own after watchin' numerous you tube videos, this is what I came up with. (ps this is also a flickr link test, so bear with me)
PHOTO LIGHT BOX SML" BORDER="0">

I stumbled on a large clear plastic storage container, and combined with 3 sheets of A2 tracing paper (top and sides) and white backing card I was in action.
So armed with my smart phone camera and my existing desk lamp this is the sort of result I got which I'm more than happy with.

All up $29 NZD.
Hope this helps someone else.

Cheers.

That's not bad.
I built mine using pvc pipe and some thin white fabric, so I can break it down for easy storage.

Hi Iain, yes, the ability to break it down would be a plus.
No sooner did I post this than I found this online, Which is exactly what I was after.

I have two of these, of different sizes, and work great:

Have used both the posted above and this one, and this is way better in my opinion (there are models with two rows of leds also)

Here's mine

20mm pvc pipe cut to desired length with some elbows. It all pulls apart so it can go on a shelf, and I just put desk lamps with bright bulbs outside on each side.

The paper sheet goes inside as my base.
