Hi guys! Again from me, a short intermezzo to refresh my mind and maybe all of you..

My deep apologize for not find proper discussion forum so I place it here. After lot of months (maybe years! ) of my temporary quit from modeling zone, I try to make a little start by exploring a new home environment after my marriage in the end of February 2017, since actually me & my wife still temporarily stay at my parent-in-law's house in Tangerang area, Indonesia. Tangerang is a medium city which best knowing as a major support area in the west and south-west for the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta.

About 1 year ago, I receive several information about a launching of will-be largest Tamiya shop in Indonesia and will be located in Tangerang. Recently in the end of April, me and my wife planned to spend our weekend to go around Tangerang, also to satisfy my curiosity about such info. And yes, about 8 kilometer away from the house, we found it! The rumor is already turned into reality!

Without spending more time, I take a brief shop-tour and take lot of photos. Since it's the first time I came there, so almost no preparation to completely explore the shop (not also to take a brief interview with the shop owner ), but I may inform several important items here:

1. The shop was named as "Graha Tamiya" and its' address is at Scientia Garden, Gading Serpong, Tangerang, Banten. Briefly, the shop was located just accross Multimedia Nusantara University, Tangerang (cited from an article by Fakry Naras Wahidi). The shop location is about 20-30 minutes from Tangerang's International Airport, Soekarno-Hatta.

2. Every single item is priced using Japanese currency (Yen) as printed at the package of your desired Tamiya items. For cash transaction, we commonly paid with Indonesian currency ("Rp"/Rupiah) which equal with translated amount of Yen into Rupiah using available Yen's exchange rate on the transaction day. I don't know whether if the shop perform transaction using Japanese currency but I'm sure yes, since their product directly available from Japan! I also have no information about credit payment, but I'm also sure that as a shop with specific product,

3. The shop just sell Tamiya products only (of course! ) with very wide item categories, such as model kit (all scale and era of armors, aircrafts, figures, ships... it's us, mate!!! ), Mini 4WD and its' circuit tracks, die-cast items, R/Cs, magazines, also its' modeling tools and accessories.

Anyway, everything in this shop are great! My only criticism for is that they're not yet well displaying the product; still no good separation among items based on each criteria (e.g. armor kit, figures, aircraft kit, ship kit, Mini 4WD, R/C, and many others). I supposed that not sufficient available cabinet and hope it will be solved in the future.

That's all guys and I plan to make another visit to the shop for more exploration, but not this time since my struggle with post-graduate final assignment in a next few months...

Hope you happy and enjoy the pictures, also do not hesitate to give any comments herein. Thanks for your interest guys!

Warm regards from Indonesia,

Garry

Wow, don't know how I missed your original post last year!

Thanks for sharing, I doubt I will ever go as it is half a world away from me but it is definitively interesting to see such big shops, and only with Tamiya stuff.

If you have returned to modelling full steam, it must be like a dream to have that shop close to you -although a credit-card killer

Congratulations on your marriage. Good luck on your new shop. I really wish you had your shop in my city !
What is your best selling subject? RC is very popular in the states. I like armor models myself.
If I ever travel to that part of the world I will pay your shop a visit !

Thanks for sharing. Just a note to newly weds. That is a perfect example of 'The Look'. If your spouse does that. It's time to make it quick.
