Tom, welcome to the Godzilla Campaign. A Humvee is a great choice.

My Godzilla kit hasn't arrived.

Currently standard shipping from Japan takes around five weeks - minimum.

Howdy Y'all
Finally getting around to posting my start photo. This kit will be the first of this type that I've built. Anyone ever build one of these? I think it is supposed to be resin but I'm not sure.

It's from the Godzilla 2000 movie. I'll probably start after I finish my 150- Mk II entry, an old MPC AT-ST.
Take care,
Don "Lakota"

I have my kit from ebay and it's time to work. It was partially built by the seller.

Thanks Brent
Im in a bit of a quandary about how to approach painting him
As a ref i used Godzilla verse Mothra and most of the time he looked dark grey and other times dark green. Most likely gonna go with some sort of dark grey

I managed to fill seams and start some sanding but the flu has hit me so I've been out for a week so far. This kit will stretch my skills since I don't build many planes and seams are a major weakness for me. Lots of practice on this kit though.

Yes, I'm not doing a plane for this. I meant i usually build armor kits and the few planes I've done have required filling and sanding, not my strong skills. Ghidarah has plenty of seams so I get to practice on him.

Finally a little more progress on my F/A-18. The first camouflage color is on. I plan the mask it and shoot the second color tomorrow.

Then it is all the details, landing gear, missiles etc.

More to follow

......and the other part of the camo. Did not hit the tone and hue perfectly, but it will have to do.

This is where im at with Godzilla
The power tower is almost done and have started the dio base.
The lack of detail where the seams are plus the fact that i sanded those spots has me at a bit of a standstill.
Do i try add some detail on the aeres or just give him the out of box treatment.
And,my dio idea now inludes the Hollywood sign in this alternate Godzilla universe

I’m in with Aurora’s 1975 model of one of Godzilla’s coolest enemies, RODAN!

The kit I have is the 2000 Polar Lights re-release of Aurora’s classic.

Construction of Rodan begins with the wrecked buildings on the base.

Designed as a snap-together kit, the simple ten part wrecked buildings display base assembles quickly and easily.

I had built this kit as a kid when it was first released back in 1975, but this time around the detail on the parts seemed a bit mushier than I remembered...

Looking through my parts bin, I found a few fragments that I had saved; for some reason this Polar Lights reissue actually IS noticeably softer than the original Aurora release...
