Matho Models has released a pair of new products, a Foam Board HD as well as a PVC foam board. Matt Leese [ MATT ] works with the foam board HD to see how it stands up and out from the rest. Mathos offers 3 thickness'' 1,3 and 5mm, as well as a starter set containing all 3.

Hi Matt , I have no experience with foam board so am curious about its uses , from your review you stated

What is the board used for ? as a display base ? and why would you peel off the paper ? I appreciate any info you (or any others} would care to provide

You can also get offcuts of the stuff from picture framing shops. I got a whole bag of it in exchange for a modest donation to its charity box.
For removing the paper, I'm told that a hot air gun is good for melting the glue but I'm still looking for mine to test that theory.
