For those who were interested in the soldering step by step, I have a PDF put together on the equipment and processes I use. It's about 1.9MB so it's not a small file. Please contact me and let me know who would like a copy and where to send it.

Paul I'd be interested in copy if you don't mind (PM'd you my email). I'm currently in the process of (trying to) soldering up a set of head light protectors for a T-10M I'm building.

Been following this campaign the last few days cause I'm thinking of joining it. Just don't know what to go with

My oh my, Andrew! Now I can see why you had such a hard time. But If I got myself into this... my favorites are the Faun, the T-72 and the Type 59D. Maybe the Faun being really the top of my personal list given its size and really high part count.

Lovely work. That 2S7 is going to be beautiful when it's done. I can hardly wait to see the finished project.

Thanks. I did find a reference that states this has more than 1000 parts, so I am good for the theme.

Maybe not so much for my patience though.

Hi guys.
This is certainly very nice idea for a campaign. I had my eyes on AFV club T-34/85 with full interior. It's around 500 pieces, not counting aftermarket individual track links. I want to build it as a gift for my grandfather, who drove them back in the 50's. But, problem is, the price is a bit high. So, wish me luck with my next paycheck. It would be a pleasure to join you.

I was able to do some more work the last couple of days on the Scud.

The driver's cabin with the subassemblies ready for painting:

Well I'm in and Trumpeter have made the decision for me with their announcement of new T-55 Series. I'll be doing my Type 59D to make sure it gets done in case Trumpeter plan on releasing a new one of those down the track as well.

This is what I'm using

Very little progress on the Bishop... As many setbacks as successes. Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Cristian, the PE fret is dead easy compared to the Legend set instructions, and how fun the cage on the back of turret will be to solder

Great to have you join, Mark! The T-80BV is also at the top of my to-be-built-soon list so I'll be following with interest. I guess, this will be the Trumpeter kit, right?

Mark, hope you enjoy the T-80BV, I did when I built it. I have a build review for it on my website (see link on my sig). The two biggest things to watch out for is

A: The storage boxes mounted on the fording tubes. Trumpeter has you attaché them so the sit horizontal to the ground, most often they were angled. If you are building a specific vehicle check your references.

B: I have seen multiple build with this mistake (including mine before I realized and corrected) there is a block of 4 ERA mounted on each side of the turret. These should be horizontal with the hull/turret bottom for alignment not at an angle.

Only other thing of note it the tracks. The tread pattern is slightly off, if you want to go rivet counting you will want an AM set, otherwise it isn't noticeable unless you really know what your looking for.

@Mark: Which AM decals and which barrel? Building a specific vehicle?

@Andrew: Thanks for the heads-up! They will come in handy for me, as well. Great looking camo, by the way!
