I'm back into modeling after a short break of a few years. Been modeling off and on since I was a kid. Started getting serious about it and working on creating quality builds back when I was in the service. Before that it was slap it together as quickly as possible so I could blow it up. How times change...
I am primarily an aircraft builder, love WWII aircraft, especially the flying boats. 1/48 scale. But now I'm on an armour binge. Just added a few new kits to the stash that I just couldn't live without. If I can control myself, I plan to finish all the kits in the stash before buying any more. (We'll see how long that lasts )
...Anyway, there seem to be a lot of new techniques since I last enjoyed some time at the modeling bench, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'm shaking the rust off by building a Tamiya Sd.Kfz.223 Leichter Panzerspähwagen (Fu) that I had in the stash with an Aber PE set. Only made a few mistakes, but nothing the paint can't hide. Toughest part is working with the tiny PE parts and not gluing my fingers together. Fun but frustating at times.

Welcome back, Mack_S
Armor is my favorite subject and 1/35 scale plastic is where I find comfort. This forum board is the best place for getting back into it
