I would like to propose a Airfix III campaign.
Jessica as a long standing host of Airfix I-II has given her blessing for me to host the campaign.
The rules will be the same as the last two Airfix campaigns.
If you would like a relaxed build campaign open to all please post your interest over on the KitMaker Network.

It's a no brainer for me - I'm in!
One question though. I think on the previous Airfix campaigns, there was a date restriction on the age of the original moulds, on the first campaign it was something like nothing newer than 1970, and in the second campaign it was something like nothing newer than 1980. So, the question is, will there be a restriction on the new campaign, and if so, what will it be?
Cheers!
Edit - just checked the rules for the first two campaigns, the actual restrictions were nothing newer than 1976 in the first, and nothing newer than 1979 in the second.

I would be interested if all Airfix kits were included, even updated molds.

Hi All!
Airfix III with no kit age restrictions would be a natural evolution of the campaign idea!
If there were no major objection I would go for it as this would bring more model builders into the campaign.

Hi Richard
Time permitting, I'd definitely be in to one of their newer kits. I've still got the Javelin - a present from last Christmas that I've hardly looked at!
All the best

Request has been submitted.
Rough draft of rules for the campaign are:-
The Rules and Regs
1. Any scale, any era, any subject;
2. Some Airfix kits were reboxed by Heller and MPC. Those will be permitted since the plastic remains Airfix. If you can prove a reboxing by another company, it'll be allowed;
3. Your build should have the "Out of the Box" flavour, but some scratchbuilding or aftermarket to correct egregious shape errors or replace missing kit parts is permitted;
4. The kit decals should be used if possible, but may be beyond help, so alternate markings are allowed. “What if” markings may also be used;
5.Build as many kits as you wish, but only 1 ribbon will be awarded per person;
6. Minimum of 2 progress shots in the official campaign thread plus minimum of one shot of the completed build in the campaign gallery on a plain blue background.
7. Dioramas welcome but not required;
8. Most importantly have fun, enjoy your build, and share your progress with us all.

Please include me as no-one's mentioned figures yet.
When are my starting photos required pkease?
Am I limited to one entry because I have a lot of figures that need to be made?
Regards
Paul

Paul, I would say that you may complete as many figures kits as you desire.

Figures, why not? I think the last AAA featured 2 or 3 figures including at least one mounted one.

I am adding my name to this campaign. I have a lot of Airfix kits in my stash and depending on how much time I can devote will determine the kit to use, it could be anything from a 1/72 Hawk to a 1/24 Spitfire Vb or maybe even a Railway building. One thing to note is that all of Airfix Railway Locomotives and rolling stock were originally made by Kitmaster which was a trading name of Rosebud Dolls from Raunds, Northamptonshire which is near to where I live in Kettering. The question here is; Is any kit released under the Airfix label allowed?

Oh wow, just a quick (but by no means complete) check shows I have (2x) SB2C, SBD, TBD, TBF, Brewster Buffalo, Bird Dog, a Tiger Moth, a Duck, and an F-84 readily available. So when does this start?????
