The paint doesn't necessarily have to be glossy, even though glossy does look better (my opinion of course)!

Sadly the italian "bella machinas" are basically non-existing in scale, I'd kill for a Fiat Regata, Croma or Alfa Romeo 164 in 1/24.

Oh, building a german car is not that complex. Wolf, VW "Beetle" and two 170V are in the stash. The latter two can be done as post-WWII (the changes are "under the hull") one as a civilian the other as a police car.

The 170V was well liked by students in the 1960s (Beetles where still "pricy" compared to those then youngsters) so one in "Hippy colors" should work as well
