Some names are pretty easy to figure out ,some are odd, so what's the story? How did you come up with it? Mine? Well, I was sitting on a tank in the rain with my rain suit on enjoying the weather when someone said "you look like a frog sitting up there" so that sort of explains the turrettoad part . My line # in the unit is 13, I always draw pistol, gas mask , and CVC #13. I'm also the TC of C-13 so I'm TURRETTOAD-13 .

I've been Twisted Fate since my early online days, back when the fastest speed was 2400bps. It is a play on the phrase "twist of fate", it actually replaced my old handle Whiplash Blonde because too many horny adolescent males thought I was a female.

You could see FAUST in two ways.... Intelectual and like weapon.
Intelectual:
FAUST is a play written by Goethe it`s a play about selling your soul to the devil. I have seen it three times and it`s a good play though it`s never finished.

Weapon.... Everybody knows the good ol` panzerfaust but that was too long So I shortened it to FAUST nice, short and cool.

That would be the explanation

HI,

TUGA it's a nick name of portuguese people. It came from the country name PorTUGAl and has been the name of the mascot of portuguese team to the 2002 World Football (the real one not that played on the USA ) at Korea/Japan.

My avatar it's from one of my functions at work - CO from the harbour professional fire brigade.

At the bottom of my e-mails at work, I often use a baseline. One of the funniest I ever saw is "who the hell is general failure, and why is he reading my harddisk ? "
Since Armorama is set up with a ranking system I thought it would be funny to have a callsign that includes something military. I considered "major disaster" first, then I thought of the baseline... et voilà !

I guess mine is also equally easy to figure out. I am a gunner on the Leopard C-2. I'm also qualified driver, but nothing is cooler than launching a sabot down range and watching the splash.

Mine is the same as my AOL screen name. It is a combination of my wife's, my daughter's and my intials along with our street address:

Patrick,Lisa, Mallory Parton, 110.......PLMP110

It seemed to make sense when we first got our AOL account.

I started out here as "Sarge". (I see somebody else uses that name now). I wanted to have a seperate e-mail account for modelling and sarge was long gone. I tried a few military type names and plasticbattle was free. So with a new e-mail address...... I had to ask Jim if he could change my call-sign. He did and the rest is history... as they say!

Back when I played Delta Force online almost constantly, I went by War Machine. The name is originally from the old Iron Man comic book. Plus, since I work mostly on military subjects, I thought it would fit as my name around here.

Way back in 1983 I got my first computer, a Commador 64. With it I got the game Ultima IV "Quest of the Avatar" from Origin. It's an RPG set in the ole dark ages with knights and wizards and such. I needed a name that went with the game. Me, being named Ken added a little flair, and have been using it ever since.

I'm from Rome even if I live in Milan. When I used to be an instructor on M47, M60 and Leopard 1 at the Armoured Troops School, a cadet from Rome looking at a demo on the field of the Leopard capabilities I was giving he exclaimed: that Lieutenant must be "scocciato" that in Roman dialect means mad. Having a few colleagues of mine heard it they just shortened it to "scoccia". From that very day "scoccia" became my official nickname and callsign for all the rest of the time I spent in the army.

Well, as if anyone hadn't figured it out, my initials A J (though I don't go by that, I'll leave that to Mr. Foyt, so "when you call me, you can call me Al" ) and my last name LaFleche . Also the same as my AOL name.
