It's high time to start preparations to White-Wahsed campaign. All details on the campaign you'll find HERE. Campaign's gallery is HERE. I encourage you to start your building blog as this may result with being asked for writing feature article for Armorama. Jesper (SGTJKJ) was so kind and created four banners for the campaign: Quoted Text

Hi Sancar, It would be nice to see your progress photos but I prefer participants to upload only finished models to campaign's gallery. In build pics you could place on one of free file hosters. I use Photobucket.com and you can choose from many others. |

I am in for this one. I will build the old Tamiya Leopard 1A4 in German winter camouflage. I had this one in my stash for quite some time and it will be a nice stroll down memory lane making one of these old Tamiya kits with poly caps for the whells and everything I will try to finish my L-39 Albatros for a campaign on Aeroscale before I start on my Leopard 1A4 for this campaign from the start of October. |

That should be fun. I have 2x Dragon Pzkfw III ausf. M ready which I want on some winter setting. Hope to get at least one of them finished before the end of the campaign.

In preparation for thecampaign start in little more than a week I have done little research on my subject (Leopard 1 A4). I have come around this picture in one of my books. An all green Leopard 1 with partially white wash and some interesting mud weathering to go with it. I have not decided yet if I want to make the mud weathering to go along with the white wash or if I want to make the white wash a worn as in the picture. Anyway, I am planning to base my model loosely on this picture. I will not make this specific vehicle but one in the same style. Now the hunt goes on for even more Leopard 1 A4 in German service with white wash. Any pictures or links for helping out in my research are highly appreciated |

Little chance of plans. My entre won't be a Pzkfw III but a Pzkfw IV. I've got the Tamiya ausf.H kit ready and I ordered some Fruil ostketten and an alu barrel. Should be fun |

With Baseball coaching over for the year, I've been anxious to get focused on modeling again and this Campaign is a great way to get back into it. I've got a 1/35 Tamiya Tiger I (Mid), Eduard barrel & PE set, WW II Production tracks and a couple figures to go into a diorama based around this photo; Blade48mrd |

I was digging and found both a dragon king tiger with zim and a T34/76 that I was never happy with the paint and didn't finish either of them and moved on to other projects. I may have to break out the easy-off and start over, both are nice kits that have been scrunched in the boxes for a while now. I've gotten a lot better at finishing them and do kinda have the urge to dirty up another Russian sled |

Looks good, Martin. I am looking forward to see how this works out when you get started. I am just about to start on my Tamiya Leopard 1A4 as well. The kit is a little basic, but considering it is from 1979 it has good details. It looks like the build will be quick although the painting and weathering might be another story. More to follow in a few days |

I have made a little progress on my Leopard 1A4 for this campaign. The lower hull has been assembled along with the wheels. Taking into account this kit is from 1979 the level of detail is very good. Also it was a trip down memory lane putting those small poly caps into the wheels Actually I think this will be quite handy when I get around to painting the tank A crew figure is included although I do not think he will fit into any of the hatches and he also looks a little bulky by todays standards. He will probably go to the spares box.... More to follow... |

A little update. Construction on my Leopard 1A4 is now almost finished. Construction is easy, fast and straight forward. The cool thing about these old Tamiya kits are that you can disassemble the main parts for painting again due to these small poly caps. The only areas that need a little filler are the back of the plates for the front head lights. Otherwise no extra filler is needed. Next will be the basecoat. |
