Needing something to finish out a planned 120mm figure diorama, I received a tip about some 120mm AKs from www.thetankmaster.com Not wanting to order from Russia, I checked out the eBay auctions listed on the website but didn't find the AKs listed among the other items for sale so I contacted the seller. In about a week I had a very nice white metal AKM and AK-47 for $3.00 each.
Hard to photograph but there is nice detail present on both items. Fire selector is in single shot, magazine release is present and sight detail is good. I'm no AK expert but from the civilian AK I owned for a bit I can tell the detail is there and coming from Russia you would expect no less. No sling swivels but the mount points are there. Magazine are separate items to be attached. With some careful grinding, it might be possible to display without the magazine.
OA White Metal 120mm AK-47
Basic details apply but AK-47 features are larger buttstock, flat panel magazine, flat front compensator and thinner foregrip. Also some difference in receiver detail.
OA White Metal 120mm AKM
Basic details apply but AKM features are lower buttstock, ribbed magazine, slanted compensator and foregrip thicker at bottom. Also some difference in receiver detail.
I'm no AK expert but from the civilian AK I owned for a bit I can tell the detail is there and coming from Russia you would expect no less.
