In-Box Review
Mini Chuck for Cordless Screwdrivers

by: Matt Leese [ MATT ]

Quoted from the Micro Mark website "Most drills and rotary tools spin too fast for working in plastic and for tiny detail work. This special chuck with ¼ inch hex shank fits your slow turning Black and Decker or other cordless screwdriver to solve this problem. Holds drill bits from 1/8 inch to #59. Take advantage of the quick-change feature of the ¼ inch shank...buy several chucks and keep your most-used drill bits ready to go."

A Dremel moto-tool without a speed control is often too fast for most plastic modeling applications. The excessive speed tends to melt the plastic. What if you don't want to drill with a pin vise?

The Dremel mini chuck is great for drilling at a slower speed. Although mounting a sanding drum in it seems too slow for me. It works great for the drill bits that are just too small for the normal moto-tool drill. This is a handy adapter for a tool you may already have at home.

It does seem pricey but so far it has been worth the cost.
