Review

The set comes in the standard smaller box from Legend Production, which in this case is a little large for the three Mk.48 Machine Guns and parts. All the parts are cast in grey resin, and a scan of the parts shows great looking casting, with excellent details. It should be noted up front the Legend states the set is 3D sculpted, and from the look of some of the fine detail, I would have to agree.

The gun itself has plenty of surface detail, and that may be an explanation for the large number of pour gates. The rest of the smaller parts that will need to added to the main gun are equally details, and some very small. The set does provide the option of the open and close bipod, as well as it does look like there are two options for the scope.

The ammuntion cans are separate parts, and there is a small cast piece of belt ammuntion to add the "locked and loaded" look detail. As mentioned the parts are small, and the assembly will take patience and care, especially cutting the parts of the pour blocks. Also some of the attachment points look to be small, so even an assembled gun could be fragile.

As for the instruction sheet, it does not show how to assemble the set, but does provide images of the gun assembled, with arrows and numbers pointing to the parts. Most parts it should be pretty straight forward, but some of the parts I was unable to visualize.

Overview

Overall this is a great looking set of Mk.48 light machine guns from Legend Productions. The guns them selves have plenty of details, but could prove tricky finicky to assemble. These guns could be used to add extra equipment to a vehicle, diorama, or to add to a figure. I would definitely recommend this set based on the look and details.
SUMMARY
Highs: Excellent details, great casting
Lows: Very small parts, could prove a little difficult to assemble.
Verdict: The 3D sculpting looks to have provided a very detailed MG set, highly recommended.

These look really nice. Too modern for most of what I build, but really nice!
