What's This?
So you have wrapped wire or natural materials together to make realistic trees for your diorama. Those can be challenging to plant. West Garage Models (WGM) has a solution, item R72014, Tree Trunks!

WGM offers many unique scenery and diorama models. West Garage Models - formerly GEM - produces a variety of models and accessories.
Our history goes back to December 2nd of 2009 with GEM (Garage Exclusive Models).

It starts with a small and simple resin kit, then another and then the diorama material, and bit by bit, we end up with a solid catalogue. Now, a change, a new image, a new name. The catalogue still has the same products and will have a lot more.

Tree Trunks, item R72014
Simply packaged in a clear poly bag closed with a label, Tree Trunks are five resin trunks with bases. Each is cast with a mounting hole.

detail and casting
Cast with a straw colored resin, each trunk has some bark detail. Roots extend out from the trunk into a rough ground texture.

I did not find any air holes. The bark detail may be soft for some modeler's tastes.

Scale?
WGM markets these as 1/72. Since there are many sizes to trees, you can decide if it will work for your scale.

Conclusion
The trunks are crisply defined. That there are no pin-prick air holes to concern me is pleasing.

Tree Trunks are good way to plant you custom tree armatures!

I'm a professional pilot with a degree in art. My first model was an AMT semi dump truck. Then Monogram's Lunar Lander right after the lunar landing. Next, Revell's 1/32 Bf-109G...cried havoc and released the dogs of modeling! My interests--if built before 1900, or after 1955, then I proba...
