Bronco Model have just sent us News of some releases which will be out in July/August 2009.
With the New Releases, the first two will be Accesory/Update sets. This has long been a policy of the company, and coming from a 'Styrene' manufacturer is still relatively unusual. The new Updates are in 1/35th scale:

AB3518 - Early Version Wheel Set for Sd.Kfz 221

AB3519 - Chinese PLA 200L Oil Drum Set

Now, the best for last. For years, modelers have been asking for items such as civilian cars and those which saw military service. Their have certainly been a number in Resin, but in general, they have been few and far between. Now, in a REAL surprise, Bronco have announced the following:

CB35054 - German Light Saloon Car Model 1937

It 'looks' like an Opel, so draw your own conclusions. It certainly should be a popular release and perfect for dioramists as well...

As always, our thanks to Bronco for keeping us updated!

Hi, two questions. Was it used by the Wehrmacht? Will the kit have chromed parts like other car kits? I know it is too early to answer the second question but if the first is yes, I wonder what schemes they were painted in? Cheers, TimTam27

Nice to see that Tamiya's decision to send a 1/35 Citroen 11CV our way may have started something larger. I was also looking forward to Tamiya's upscaling their 1/48 BMW 327 sports car, but Bronco's generic 2-door sedan will obviously make a much more versatile car to have stuck in the rasputitsa or have as a polished ride for one of the civilian figures like Model Victoria's "Civil in Arms" LINK

Another (cleaner) one : Both pics show the cabrio-limousine variant, like all I've found so far (Wespe Models makes one in resin, but that's another story ...) : Frenchy

Well that's probably a good time to test out Alclad's Polished Chrome - I bought it for my other dark-sided projects. Haven't get the chance to use it and now is probably the time to do so. I've seen a few examples using Alclads in Tamiya's magazine (F2001 build) and boy do they look like the real thing. Looking forward to getting Tamiya's Citreon Traction CV (which can also be used as a civilian car in Vietnam war's street battle scene). Now Bronco's - great! James, I Ditto your BMW coupe comment, only that it's not by Tamiya but Hasegawa, whom packaged it with their Fw190-5(J. Priller) kit and also sold as separate. I've that one, nice, but would prefer 1/35 as well. I don't know what's Hasegawa's taste in that scale, do not recall them dabbling in it so far. 1/24 Jeeps and Kubelwagen's so far, but not 1/35... So our hope' slim on this one... Unless Tamiya takes up the ball...

Interesting one! But I still do not know when it will be on sale in China, though Bronco Model comes from China.

Thanks Jim, really cool! I'll have to get one of these and a Tamiya Citroen to put next to my Pit Road Kurogane. I never thought we'd see even ONE of these in styrene!
