Craft History

The fifty-six-foot, program 5 ATC(H), nicknamed "Tango," was the workhorse of the US riverine fleet in the Vietnam conflict. It served as the primary waterborne transport for the Mobile Riverine Force (MRF). The "Tango" could carry up to 24,000 pounds of cargo or a platoon of 40-fully equipped infantrymen. Looks awesome. I have followed Jack Cirrico's builds and wanted one of his kits for years. I have waited on this one. It would look awsome w/a Seawolf Huey up top. I wonder what the price will be? His other pieces, a Monitor, Command and Commo Boat, and ASPB, look great and go for about $200. By the way, its technically not a Monitor, but an ATC-H; Armored Troop Carrier-Helicopter. Monitors were the lower, enclosed gunboats. Jim's other pieces Zippo Monitor Flame Boat: Command and Commo Boat: ASPB - Assault Support Patrol Boat Here is his website w/more info and lots of great pics of the models: Brownwater Enterprises

As per my normal skills, I missed the price at the start $200.00US. I would expect thays not a bad price for a hunk of resin that big. Might have to do a bit of saving.

I have their first release and for roughly $200 shipped. Affordable kit for its size, and well engineered too. Looking foward to this one too.

These are really lovely resin models I have both the Zippo and the command and communication boats waiting to be made and I'm really tempted by this one as well and as Gino says it woud look simply amazing with a Seawolf huey on the deck. For those that are interested I got an email form Masterpiece Models and they have a 20% off coupon that is valid until the end of March and I think I'm right in saying that it is on all their model kits. Finally they also intend to release a 1/35th resin PACV which if its up to the standard of their past kit will be on my wish list straight away. David
