Hugh Downs, a northern-California horseman and artist, in collaboration with John Tremelling of Powys, Wales have rather amazingly and very accurately, recreated the figure of Owain Glyn Dwr---armour, horse and all. Downs has taken images of Tremelling as Glyn Dwr and created some computer-generated artwork. You can visit the Web site to see the results and learn more about the project. http://www.hughman.com
Hugh's main interest is to promote Welsh history and, more broadly, the role of the horse in world history and how horses affected human culture.

Their next image will be Robert the Bruce. Tremelling is riding as Robert the Bruce this summer in Bannockburn and Downs will supply similar iconographic images of him and his horse as this great Scottish warrior for that event.

Tremelling also has created a host of other celtic warriors from history, including a complete reconstruction of an ancient celtic chariot with a hand-carved yoke that he copied from an example found at La Tene.

You can find figures in 1:285 in some of the Euro mags... when used on a 1:350 ship, the scale is so small the difference is almost impssible to notice. I've seen NOTHING in 1:700 scale though... I mean a 6' man would look like two specs of dust! Keith Magee Seal Team #2 (Ret) Norfolk, VA

That's right, but it would be to hard, to paint the figures.
