Hattons has shared images of their limited edition variant of Heljan's OO/1:76 Class 07 model in the livery of the Harry Needle Railroad Company [HNRC]
”We have now received the final production sample for our exclusive Class 07. The livery application and detailing on this model is just superb, with an array of metal handrails and separately fitted end detailing as well as very finely printed cab details - which you can see in the photos.
We are producing a limited edition variant of Heljan's OO gauge Class 07 model. Our exclusive model showcases 07001 in Harry Needle Railroad Company orange and grey with wasp stripes. A total of 14 Class 07 locomotives were constructed by Ruston & Hornsby in 1962 to replace the SR USA Class steam locomotives at Southampton Docks. The locomotives had a short lifespan, being withdrawn by British Rail between 1973 and 1977, with several heading into industrial use.
07001 moved to the Staveley Limeworks in Buxton in 1976 and then passed onto the Harry Needle Railroad Company, who kept the locomotive operational and mainline registered for decades, also painting it into their distinctive orange and grey livery. The locomotive still operates to this day but has now been preserved by the Heritage Shunters Trust at Peak Rail.”
The Class 07 Shunter are due to us in Spring of this year .
