An upcoming new release from Bachmann Liliput sees the introduction of four HO/1:87 Henschel DE 2500 diesel locomotives.
Henschel-BBC designated this small class of three experimental diesel-electric locomotives as DE 2500. Introduced from 1971 and classified by the Deutsche Bundesbahn as Class 202, they were tested in traffic until the 1980s and underwent various modifications during this period. The locomotives were of modular construction and could be mounted on 2-axle bogies or on 3-axle bogies for routes with more severe axle load restrictions.
The Liliput models boast many great features and are expected to arrive September/October.
